Dearly beloved in the Lord,
Warmest greetings from the Methodist Tamil Church, Vepery, Chennai. It gives me immense joy and pleasure to welcome you and reconnect with you through the revamped Website of MTC Vepery on the Sesquicentennial Anniversary.
We thank God for the ministry that commenced in the present location of our church in the year 1874 by the pioneering missionaries Rev. C. P. Hard, Rev. W. B. Osburne and Rev. J. E. Robinson.
On such a historic commemoration of the 150 years of the ministry of MTC Vepery our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy for the life transforming ministry that have taken place for so many long years.
As we stand at the 150th year of our inception, we not only look back with praise & gratitude for the wonderful life and witness of MTC, but more importantly we look forward with faith for greater things that are yet to come as we continue to be involved in the expansion of God’s Kingdom glocally (Global & Local).
In the midst of fast changing horizon for the methods and modes of doing Mission and Ministry, MTC Vepery is committed to reflect the very life of Christ through our words and deeds for we hold onto the unchanging promise of God who said: I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
