Sunday School

Nurturing foundations for a lifetime of faith.

Our Sunday School is a cornerstone ministry of MTC Vepery, where approximately 165 children gather every Sunday during the worship service to learn, grow, and deepen their faith.

Our Focus

Conducted every Sunday during the main worship service.

Our teaching staff undergo periodic training to remain well-equipped for children’s ministry.

The Sunday School team actively participates in and supports children’s ministries across all branch churches.

We believe that caring for the body is an essential part of caring for the soul. Our mission is to reach out with the love of Christ, providing not just medical aid, but also hope and prayer for those who are suffering.

Medical Mission

Providing healthcare and support to the underserved.

Following the example of Jesus, the Great Physician, our Medical Mission team is dedicated to healing and serving. This ministry brings together healthcare professionals—doctors, nurses, and technicians—from our congregation to serve the broader Chennai community.

Our Core Services:

We host free check-ups on the last Saturday of every month.

Through our network, we provide access to various specialties, including Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and General Medicine.

Blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar tests, and basic screenings are provided free of charge.

Workshops on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care.

We believe that those among us who are in need possess valuable wisdom and life experiences that can greatly enrich the church. We seek to meaningfully include them in different areas of church life, allowing their insights to become a blessing and encouragement to others

People Ministry

Supporting and comforting those who have lost their spouses.

In accordance with the biblical mandate to care for needy people, our ministry is a cornerstone of our community’s compassion. We understand that losing a spouse is one of life’s most challenging transitions, and we are here to walk alongside our sisters in Christ.

Regular prayer meetings and Bible studies tailored to their unique spiritual journeys.

A safe space to share experiences, grief, and hope with others who understand.

Help with home maintenance, technical support, and navigating administrative tasks.

Organized Camps, Trainings, Career Guidance Programmes, and Retreats that foster a sense of belonging and joy.

Many of our church members describe their visits to Kaveripakkam as some of the most spiritually enriching experiences of their lives. It is a place where faith is witnessed in its simplest, purest, and most powerful form.

Kaveripakam Church

Missionary outreach and support for our sister church in Kaveripakam.

Kaveripakkam Methodist Church is our primary missionary partner in rural Tamil Nadu. As a sister church, we take great responsibility in supporting its growth and helping it reach the local community with the love of Christ.

Our Partnership Includes:

Assisting in the maintenance and expansion of the church building.

Sending healthcare professionals to provide much-needed medical care to the village community.

Conducting annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs and youth activities for children and young people in Kaveripakkam.

Providing resources, encouragement, and support to the local pastor and his family.

Thirupanagadu is a testament to how God works through faithful service and compassionate outreach. It stands as a reminder that lasting transformation can take place in small rural communities when people are committed to serving and loving others in Christ’s name.

Thirupanakadu Ministry

Evangelism and community support initiatives in Thirupanakadu village are being carried out by the Methodist Young Adults Fellowship.

Our ministry in Thirupanagadu is centered on holistic community transformation. We believe that the Gospel must be expressed through both word and deed, addressing the physical needs of people alongside their spiritual hunger.

Key Areas of Focus:

Thirupanagadu is a testament to how God works through faithful service and compassionate outreach. It stands as a reminder that lasting transformation can take place in small rural communities when people are committed to serving and loving others in Christ’s name.

Providing school supplies and educational assistance for children from low-income families.

Establishing small groups for prayer, fellowship, and spiritual growth within the village.

Providing seasonal support such as clothing, blankets, and dry rations during times of need.

Sharing the message of Christ through street plays, film screenings, and personal testimonies.

Our vision for Annavelli is to see a thriving, self-sustaining congregation that continues to share the Gospel and extend the love of Christ throughout the region.

Annavelli Ministry

The Mission and Evangelism Team initiated church planting work in Annavelli.

Annavelli presents a significant opportunity for mission outreach. Our efforts are focused on establishing a sustainable Christian presence that will serve as a beacon of hope and encouragement to the surrounding communities.

Outreach Strategy:

Building meaningful relationships and praying with local families.

Providing a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment where children can learn about God’s love.

Identifying local needs, such as sanitation and access to clean water, and working together to find practical solutions.

Mentoring and equipping local believers to take on leadership roles within their own community.

The warmth and hospitality of the people in Vasuvasamuthiram make this ministry a true blessing and a joy to be part of.

Vasuvasamuthiram Ministry

Outreach and social welfare programs in Vasuvasamuthiram.

Vasuvasamuthiram is a community where we have witnessed a deep spiritual hunger. This church is being monitored and supported by the Methodist Men. Our ministry here is marked by a strong commitment to serving the people and a heartfelt desire to see every family touched and transformed by the grace of God.

Gathering families in their homes for worship, prayer, and Bible study.

Organizing vocational training programs and support groups for the women of the village.

Guiding young people toward positive life choices and spiritual growth.

Hosting special events during major festivals and holidays to share the Gospel with the wider community.

We believe that God has an incredible plan for Kuttigoundanur, and we are privileged to be a small part of what He is doing in this community.

Kuttigoundanur Ministry

Missionary efforts and spiritual guidance continue in Kuttigoundanur. This is the first church where the Methodist Young Adults Fellowship has made a financial investment and continues to actively support ongoing mission work.

Kuttigoundanur, known for its strategic importance, is also a place of great spiritual need. Our ministry here seeks to reach the diverse population of the area by providing a place of spiritual refuge, fellowship, and community.

Our Core Pillars:

Regular prayer walks and dedicated prayer times for the peace and prosperity of Kalpakkam.

 Sharing the message of Christ with clarity and compassion.

Providing practical help to those who are struggling financially or emotionally.

Offering foundational Bible courses for new believers
